diy concrete diamond

Have I convinced you that concrete is amazing yet?

No?

Well, I’ll keep at it then.

This amazing idea is from A Merry Mishap. Who knew you could use paper as a 3D template? Brilliant.

Print out the template (found here) onto cardstock.

Then cover one side of the paper with clear packing tape.

tape the paper

Once covered with tape, cut out the template. You don’t actually need the top flap of the diamond, that’s where you pour in the concrete.

Using a ruler is the best way to ensure straight, crisp folds.

Fold twice on each line to give it a nice defined crease.

Now it’s ready to tape together.

Once the diamond is filled with concrete, place it in a paper cup.

Let the concrete dry overnight then peel of the paper.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I found this first on A Merry
Mishap but I need pictures so I can understand the process better! :D
What kind of cement did you use? Brand, fast drying cement etc? (I’m
from Sweden so I don’t know the equivalent of yours, but maybe some help?) (:

Love this so much. I was wondering what kind of concrete (brand and type) you use? Your concrete looked a bit soupy then other tutorial I been looking at. Your looked much nicer.

The brand is Quikrete. It was their quick setting concrete. I added a little extra water to make it a more wet & runny so it would easily fill the paper template with no air pockets.
