diy wall art

Confession. I don’t always “get” art. Like the fancy-in-a-museum-selling-for-thousands-of-dollars art. Most of the time I’m looking at it and thinking “My 5 year old nephew could have done this.”

That’s just one of the reasons why I love the idea of diy art. Because then it’s personal, one-of-a-kind and has specific meaning to you. I’ve been wanting to make some for our home, but I’m having a hard time deciding what to do.

I’ve rounded up 15 diy art projects for some inspiration.

I’m dying to try this squeegee art, but it needs to warm up so I can do it in the garage. Thirty degrees is still too cold for outdoor projects. C’mon spring!

I’m a sucker for any project that uses paper. And this folded paper art is just delightful.

I can’t imagine how long it must have taken to cut out this world map from cork board, but it’s incredible.
