Aren’t these little glasses simply adorable? I attribute that mostly to the cute little Halloween icons I downloaded from Little White Whale. They are perfect!
Glass etching is simple. Here’s what you need:
– glasses (these stemless wine glasses came from the dollar store)
– etching cream (found at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby or any craft supply store)
– paintbrush (the stiffer the bristles the better)
– vinyl stencils (you can download these cute halloween icons here)
Apply your vinyl stencil.
Apply a thick coat of etching cream. Make sure to brush up and down and left and right. The bottle says to leave the cream on for 5 minutes. With every glass etching project I’ve done it’s required the cream to be on the glass for at least 20 or 30 minutes. Rinse the etch cream off BEFORE removing the stencil. After removing the stencil clean the etched area with glass cleaner then wash your glasses before use. These are dishwasher safe.
Perfect for Halloween celebrating!
Until next time….
