I have been ridiculously excited to show you guys this makeover! It’s the kind of makeover that makes me feel like I have a whole new house.
It’s so beautiful!
What would the after pictures be without some befores for comparison.
The foyer & hall were painted a grayish brown and off-white. Off-white? What was I thinking?! Which really just made everything look a little, well, dingy. There, I said it.
The book page hallway was a great makeover-when-you-don’t-have-money-for-a-makeover kind of makeover. And I really did enjoy it, but it was definitely time for a change. The wallpaper came down.
We painted everything white. The same white we used in our dining room makeover which is called Subway Tile. Then up came the baseboards, banister and laminate flooring.
We got our hardwood flooring from Lowe’s. It’s a dark hand-scraped hickory and it is gorgeous!
Progress after day 1.
The front door got a new paint job too. A dark charcoal color from Sherwin Williams called Iron Ore.
I know you’re wondering about this art on the wall. As well you should be, it’s pretty incredible. I found this beauty at TJ Maxx one glorious day and I actually gasped out loud when I saw it.
Are you liking those little concrete stools? A tutorial for those is coming soon!
I LOVE the raw wood!
My IKEA hack table is perfect in the new foyer.
And now for the coup de grace. The glorious mirror tile wall!
I’ve had this idea for a mirror tile wall for more than 3 years, but just haven’t had a wall to put it on. The end of the hall is the perfect place for this. It adds so much brightness to the hallway. (Full tutorial coming soon!)
It makes my heart sing every time I see it!
It’s so great to finally have it all completed! We are in love with how everything turned out! More details and tutorials to come.
Until next time….
