I remember doing string art when I was a kid, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t nearly this cool.
Ooorrrrrr maybe it’s just cause I’m slightly obsessed with geometric anything at the moment. In either case, I’m ridiculously in love with this animal string art.
I started by doing a Google image search for “geometric rhino” and this was one of the first images to come up. Print and cut. Easy peasy.
I traced around the rhino onto a piece of white card stock.
Using a ruler, I drew lines across the rhino to give it the lovely geometric feel we’re going for.
I then used a pin to poke holes in all the points of the rhino.
Then I started stitching.
I stitched the outline first then stitched the lines across the rhino.
Once in a modern frame, this string art rhino makes a trendy little piece of art.
This project was just plain fun. So fun, in fact, that I couldn’t stop after this burly little rhino. I also stitched a flamingo and a snail. Both are just as adorable as the rhino.
Until next time….
