I use empty frames a lot.
A lot, a lot.
Frame collage…
Vignettes…
Gallery wall…
So I have a stack of glass from all the frames just sitting in my craft room. I’ve been trying to think of some way I could use them.
Then I remembered these rolls of fabric tape that I’ve had forever and the idea was born.
I cut the fabric tape to length, stuck it on the edge of the glass, then folded the sides down.
Once the edges were covered with fabric tape, it turned into a rather cute frame… instead of a death shard.
You may be wondering, “How did you do this without slicing your hand off?” And that is a very legit question. As I too wondered that before I started. Just use a towel to hold onto the glass while attaching the tape.
I downloaded these free printables and used photo corners to attach them onto the back of the glass. I found the halloween eye chart at Tatertots & Jello and the raven came from Blooming Homestead.
Pretty sure I’ll be doing this with all the glass frames I have. I’ve been wondering if washi tape would work just as well…
Until next time….
