hombre paper mobiles

How are you loving the hombre style?

I love it and have been wanting to do an hombre inspired project for awhile. So I whipped up these little beauties the other night.

Super easy. Super cheap.

I used four different colors of green and bought one 12 x 12 sheet of each color. Then I cut each sheet into two inch strips.

Then it’s as simple as sewing the strips together. Easy peasy.

The bottom of the mobiles need to be weighted or the paper bends and gets all floppy. Fishing sinkers work wonderfully, but you can use whatever you like.

I like to string the sinker on then tie a knot around a small bead.

And in less time that it takes to finish a frosty glass of Diet Dew you’ll have a set of lovely paper mobiles.

So whimsical; the way they lightly spin at the slightest breeze.

Hello! I’m stopping by to say hello because I met you at SNAP. I’m so impressed with your wonderful blog. It’s so well organized with great ideas – this one for instance! I’m always looking for inexpensive decorations that can be used to decorate for church stuff. I’m going to remember this. And it’s so brilliant to sew it. Wow.

    Warmly, Michelle

What kind of paper did you use? I’ve seen others that use vellum, but yours looks heavier.
