So I’ve been thinking about making some Valentine luminaries for a few days now and tonight was the lucky night.
It is my personal opinion that no one can ever have too many candles. Ever. I think they give such a warm, soft, inviting feel to any room.
These are the ones I came up and they’re exactly perfect for me!
This was one of those projects that I knew I already had the supplies, I just needed to rummage around my craft room and find them all.
I started by pulling out some glass jars and vases….
A strip of leftover fabric from another project….
A spool of twine….
Some white tissue paper….
Glitter….
And a sheet of scrapbook paper.
I cut a strip of paper and taped it around the glass.
I wrapped the fabric around a vase and secured it with tape, nothing fancy here. Did the same thing with the bakers twine.
The glitter glass got a few squirts of hairspray to make the glitter stick. Super high-tech huh?
This luminary was the only one that took any amount of time. I was just going to wrap some vellum around it, but decided on this instead.
I love this pattern!
I punched out some tissue paper circles then ran them through my handy dandy sticker maker.
Then I stuck them onto the vase like this…
And that is how it all came together. Pretty easy.
I love projects like this; the ones that give almost instant results.
It’s good for a quick creative high.
I’m crazy about these lovely luminaries.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Until next time….
