record clock

 

Greetings!

Over the past couple weeks I’ve been working on a gallery wall in our dining room and it is looking pretty amazing. Well, I love it and that’s all that really matters.

I decided the gallery wall needed a super awesome clock and what’s more awesome than a record clock? Not much my friends. Not much.

Curt and I got this clock right after we were married, about nine years ago or so. I was looking at it and mindlessly asked, “Did we really buy this clock?” Without even looking up from his work Curt replies, “We were different people back then.”

It’s funny to see how our tastes and interests evolve. I’m sure I’m doing things now that my future self is going to say “Seriously Meg?” Like, perhaps, my recent hallway makeover. (hint, hint. more to come)

 

I took the clock apart and gave the hands a quick coat of white spray paint.

 

Then I pulled out an Elvis record from my collection. One that doesn’t get too many spins.

 

From start to finish, this project took me 20 minutes. Serious.

 

I have a crush on this clock! I love love love how it looks!
