seeing red: tv unit makeover

I have been dying to post this project for a few weeks now! No matter how many times I see it happen, I’m always amazed at the transformation that can take place with just a little paint. My dear friend, let’s call her Robyn, came to me with this wonderful project. She wanted to makeover this tv unit for her sister. I jumped at the chance. Here it is before……

As we were painting on the primer I kept thinking of the submarine in Operation Petticoat. Anyone else?

The hardware was in great shape, it just needed a little sprucing up.

I am in love with the colors, the paper, everything!

A little sanding added a lot of dimension to the piece.

I’m so crazy about this paper! So fabulous!

We used Mod Podge to attach the paper then went over it with a generous coat.

Once it was finished, I found myself wishing this beauty was staying at my house……..Is that terrible?
