Remember cds?
Actual don’t-scratch, put-it-back-in-its-case, make-sure-your-initials-are-on-it compact discs.
I haven’t purchased an actual physical cd for years. Years. But boy have I contributed to the music industry. I have hundreds of cds. Curtis probably has about half that many. So when we got married we had a ridiculous amount of cds floating around. So of course we had a ridiculous amount of cd album art too.
Curt built a bar in our basement that sat unfinished for two years because we didn’t know what we wanted to do with it. Paint it? Cover it with sheet metal? These were the two options that we kept coming back to until one glorious day when it all became clear.
We would finally use our cd album art!
If you can wield a sponge brush, you can do a project like this. Tools required:
-our trusty friend Mod Podge
I just started sticking them on. The more I did, the more I fell in love.
Once the bar was covered with album art I put a generous layer of Mod Podge over the whole thing.
And when that was dry, I did another layer.
I absolutely love how this turned out!
