I love taking something that I would never want to use and turning it into something that I rather adore.
Here we have an old ugly tv tray.
….i.e. something I would never want to use. Not because of it’s function, but because of it’s ugliness.
And here we have something that I rather adore.

The trifecta of paint, paper, and podge coming together to create pure awesome-ness!
I started by spray painting the edge of the tray and the legs. This choice color is called watermelon by Krylon.
After the paint was dry, I mod podged (yes that’s a verb) paper to the top of the tray.
Then covered it all with two coats of mod podge to make it nice and durable.
And now we not only have a functional tray, but also one that is a tasty tidbit of eye candy.
I also made one with this fun fruit paper.
Yummy!
And this tray is probably my favorite.
Aren’t these over-flowing with awesome-ness?!
If I want them out of the way, they just wait all tucked up next to the fridge.
I still have one more tray (because tv trays always came in sets of four) that I haven’t done anything with yet, but I’ll get to it…..eventually.
Happy tuesday everyone!!
