wall of {whimsy}

Welcome to the 2nd installment of Whimsy Week!

I’m gonna jump right into it. This is what we lovingly refer to as The Green Room. For obvious reasons, I’m sure. For quite a number of years it’s been full of plants (they will never leave, I love them so) and garden posters and prints. I’ve loved it, but it’s just time for a change. And a splash of whimsy.

Before……

After…….

Loving it!!! You?

I found these hideous gold sconces at the thrift store for two bucks each.

Pretty very ugly. Bleh.

But after some fabulous purple spray paint, they’re wonderfully whimsical!

The mirror came from Family Dollar for ten bucks and was also a very ugly gold. But not to worry. More spray paint. More fabulous-ness.

I bought this birdcage from Tai-Pan over a year ago and just gave it a purple bath. It was cream before, but I didn’t take a picture. You’ve all seen cream, I’m sure you can imagine it. The little hanging…. thingys came from IKEA. I’m not entirely sure what they actually are, but they look great hanging in the birdcage!

This might be my favorite addition to the wall of whimsy. This is two strings of paper lanterns (that I’ve had for about a hundred years) just looped up on a hook.

Fab-u-lous!

Well, there you have it! The wall of whimsy.

So how are you enjoying Whimsy Week so far?
